Involvement with Communities
June is Environmental Month, marked by clean-up activities at branches nationwide, and each year about 13,000 persons participate in our endeavors to beautify local communities. We organize activities designed to meet the specific needs of each community, ranging from efforts to eliminate non-native species for the sake of conserving biodiversity to baseball coaching by industrial league players on our company team.

Involvement with Schools
Year by year an increasing number of opportunities are arranged for schoolchildren to visit our company as part of their career education. Workplace visits offer students tours of workplaces and allow them to exchange views with employees so that they can gain a better understanding of Nippon Express' business and operations. Workplace experiences allow students to work at an office for a three- to five-day period as if they were employees assigned there. At the request of schools, employees have also visited classes to teach on-demand lessons using as teaching materials the "Paper Recycle Box," an eco-friendly Nippon Express product, and the "kids X exchange" environmental learning tools prepared by our company. Nippon Express is also engaged in social initiatives in the neighborhoods around its offices.
