We have facilitated the process of information sharing between domestic customers as well as those located abroad, exploiting EDI between the customer’s computers and our networked systems via VAN (Value Added Network). Additionally, we are able to supply value-added services through a variety of information exchanges such as direct connection with the related divisions, SF-NET and by using e-mail or floppy disks.

We have introduced a high speed digital intranet to integrate our business across Japan, the United States, Europe, Asia and Oceania. This has enabled us to establish a global network within the company to send both domestic and international information including voice, FAX and data. We are committed to accelerating freight forwarding by efficiently delivering data on multi modal transportation, foreign relocation and cargo tracing.

Below is an example of cargo tracing and tracking: a buyer who directly purchased from a Japanese vendor created a buyer’s consolidation, and then sent an ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) by EDI. The foreign buyer can now track and trace the cargo from the customs shed in Japan in which it is being stored.
