SELF-PACKING

Please refer to the following guidelines when packing your household goods.

  1. PACKING CLOTHING, BOOKS, AND SMALL ITEMS
Put heavy items at the bottom of each carton to ensure you avoid crushing other items.
Put heavy items into smaller cartons for easier lifting.
Make sure the gross weight of each carton is no more than 30kg.
Pad the empty space inside each carton with paper to insure that items do not move around inside the carton during shipment.
A trunk or suitcase may be used instead of a cardboard box.
  2. PACKING FRAGILE ITEMS
Make sure to wrap fragile items individually in soft paper or bubble wrap.
Put tissue or bubble wrap at the bottom and top of the carton to prevent damage from stacking.
After packing, write "FRAGILE" in red, or put a "FRAGILE" label on the outside of the box, so we will know that the contents need special care.
  3. LABELING EACH BOX
Each carton, trunk, suitcase or other container needs to be marked with your name,
destination city and box number so that you and we know its contents.

PACKING LIST

The packing list is a legal document for use in customs clearance at both ends and is necessary for marine cargo insurance.

When you pack your items, ensure that you fill in the packing list to declare the contents and value of the items for custom clearance and cargo insurance purposes.

The packing list will be used as a reference when calculating the total amount of customs duty due upon your arrival at the destination. Generally speaking, however, the final duty will be determined by the customs office's own standards.

THE DAY OF THE MOVE

To make sure that all items are properly packed, please ask our staff to check the condition of your packed boxes (cartons).

Keep the cargo receipt and packing list until you receive your cartons.
