Nippon Express opens new sales office in Bandung, Indonesia

4 August 2004

PT Nippon Express Indonesia (Nobuya Nakada, President), Nippon Express' local subsidiary for air cargo, and PT Nittsu Lemo Indonesia Logistik (Shoichi Maeda, President), its local subsidiary for ocean cargo and warehousing services, have jointly opened a new sales office in Bandung, located about 120km southeast of Jakarta.

Replacing the Cikampek Sales Office established in November 2003 as Nippon Express' newest business location in Indonesia, the Bandung Sales Office is the Group's 12th sales office in Indonesia (and PT Nippon Express Indonesia's 10th). A "Bandung Hi-Tech Valley Plan" for an electronics production zone is currently being implemented in Bandung, and IT and other companies from around the world are expected to set up operations in the zone.

The Bandung Sales Office will be jointly run by the two aforementioned subsidiaries and will offer a wide range of high-quality logistics services; in addition to pursuing expanded sales of import/export air cargo services utilizing Nippon Express' proprietary SKY-NET global tracing system, the Office will also handle ocean cargo and removals cargo.
