Nippon Express Group opens new office in San Antonio, Texas

12 December 2005

Nippon Express U.S.A., Inc. (NEU; headquartered in New York; Tadaaki Hashimoto, President), a US subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd., opened the Nippon Express Group's 52nd US office in San Antonio, Texas on December 1.

Located in western Texas, San Antonio is one of that state's three largest cities alongside Dallas and Houston, both of which already host NEU branches. San Antonio has developed as an industrial city for the aviation industry among others, and a number of affiliates of Japanese automobile manufacturers have also moved into the city in recent years.

In opening up the San Antonio Office, NEU is seeking to acquire logistics business involving the transport of plant equipment and parts/components - particularly for the area's automobile-related industry - and to provide comprehensive logistics services, including shipments to and from neighboring Mexico.

This new office expands the Nippon Express Group's 13-company network in the Americas (North, Central, and South America) to 83 locations in 61 cities in 5 countries.
