Nippon Express Philippines Wins Air Cargo Forwarder of the Year Award

21 December 2006

Nippon Express Philippines Corporation, a Nippon Express Group subsidiary in the Philippines, was named Forwarder of the Year for 2006 at the 6th Cargo Industry Awards hosted by Global Cargo Carriers, Inc. (GCCI), ranking top among international air cargo forwarders in the Philippines.

Comprising 36 airline companies flying into the Philippines, GCCI was established to promote the development of the air cargo logistics industry.

The screening committee for the Cargo Industry Awards scrutinized about 200 companies engaged in international air cargo business in the Philippines, evaluating their performance, service, organization, and facilities/equipment in determining the Forwarder of the Year.

Nippon Express Philippines also placed first in the division-specific awards for "Transport Network Management" and "Logistics and Warehousing." Being named Forwarder of the Year offers further evidence that Nippon Express is the number one international cargo forwarder in the Philippines.

Nippon Express will continue to provide its customers with high-quality services making maximum use of the air forwarding, truck distribution and transport network functions as well as the TAPA Class A warehouse security management that received recognition in this year's awards.
