Overview of C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)

C-TPAT is a voluntary participation program implemented in 2004, after 9/11, by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It has been designed to enhance and ensure security via global supply chains, through international partnerships between governments and private companies concerned with imports to the U.S. such as importers, carriers and customs brokers.
