Overzicht AS9120
AS9100 is een standaard voor kwaliteitsmanagementsystemen voor de lucht- en ruimtevaartindustrie. AS9100 is gebaseerd op ISO9001 en bevat aanvullende eisen die specifiek zijn voor de lucht- en ruimtevaartindustrie. Nippon Express behaalde de AS9120-certificering, een certificaat in de AS9100-serie dat wordt toegekend aan logistieke bedrijven, doorvoerdistributeurs, handelsbedrijven en andere niet-productiebedrijven die de toeleveringsketen van de lucht- en ruimtevaartindustrie bedienen.
AS9120-gecertificeerde distributeurs krijgen het voorrecht om toegang te krijgen tot bedrijven uit de wereldwijde OASIS (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System) Database van de International Aerospace Quality Group.
Activiteiten van Nippon Express
In September 2011, Nippon Express became the first Japanese forwarder to acquire AS9120 certification. This same certification was obtained in November of that year by Nippon Express USA, an overseas subsidiary of Nippon Express, and in France (Nippon Express France). In February 2017, a Nippon Express location at Narita, the key airport for the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, was also certified.
