Discovering Passion for Logistics
To start with, what first sparked your interest in logistics?
I first came into contact with logistics when I studied logistics management at university. At the beginning, it was mostly about learning the basic concepts and theories. But as I went deeper, I realized how many different elements were involved – from warehouse operations and routing to cost control and service quality. It was much more diverse and dynamic than I imagined, and that’s when my interest really started to grow.
After graduation, I entered the field of intelligent warehousing and worked on solution design for warehouse automation robots. Seeing how our designs could actually be implemented at the customer’s site and create real value gave me a huge sense of achievement. That experience convinced me that I wanted to keep building my career in logistics, especially around automation.
Among the many logistics companies out there, why did you choose NX?
NX’s corporate value of “contributing more to the world through logistics to create a prosperous future” is very closely aligned with my own view of what a meaningful career should be. I want my work to create real impact, not only for individual customers but also for society.
At the same time, NX has a very extensive global service network. For me, that means opportunities to participate in international logistics operations and to work with colleagues across different regions. Being able to grow in a truly global environment was a very important point when I decided to join.

My Career Story
Before joining NX, what did you study and focus on at university?
At university, I majored in Industrial Engineering with a focus on logistics management and cost control. Through systematic study, I gained a solid foundation in logistics and learned to use drawing and design software, which later became very useful in my career.
After graduation, what kind of experience did you build in your first role?
After graduating, I joined a company in the intelligent warehousing field and worked on solution design for warehouse automation robots. During that time, I learned warehouse operation processes in depth and accumulated hands‑on experience. I was also able to successfully apply for a utility model patent based on one of the solutions I designed. That experience really boosted my confidence and gave me a strong sense of direction.
Since joining NX, what kinds of roles and responsibilities have you taken on?
In the East Asia region, I’ve mainly been responsible for pushing forward automation‑related projects, including:
- Understanding business requirements and clarifying operational needs
- Selecting appropriate automation equipment and candidate suppliers
- Analyzing operational data
- Designing automation solutions
- Working with warehouse teams and suppliers to implement and verify the results
In addition to automation, I also support the launch of more traditional, manually operated warehouse projects. In these cases, I focus on analyzing business and operational data, designing warehouse layouts, improving warehouse workflows, and supporting the start‑up phase of new facilities.
Where do you feel your own strengths show up the most in your work?
I feel my strengths come out most clearly in automation projects. For some projects, I can independently handle the full process – from understanding the needs on the business side, to analyzing data, choosing suppliers, and coordinating implementation.
Recently, I was involved in a warehouse start‑up project where my data analysis directly shaped how goods were allocated to storage locations. Watching products flow to the right places and seeing operations run smoothly based on the analysis I had done gave me a strong sense of achievement. It also helped me better understand what really matters in practical warehouse operations and how theory can be translated into real results.

A Day in the Life at NX
What does a typical week look like for you in your current role?
In my role, the exact tasks each week depend a lot on the status of the projects we’re working on, but there is a general rhythm.
- Monday: I mainly focus on responding to business needs, clarifying operational pain points, and identifying which types of automation equipment might be suitable.
- Tuesday–Thursday: I usually communicate with one or two candidate suppliers, share our requirements, and hold meetings to discuss possible solutions. Together, we outline the structure of the proposal and clarify what each side needs to do.
- Friday: I review the proposals, summarize key issues, and plan the tasks for the following week.
This weekly flow helps me keep multiple projects moving forward in a structured way, while also leaving room to adjust as new issues or opportunities come up.
As a relatively young professional, when do you feel you are given real responsibility?
One clear example is when I’m asked to select the most suitable supplier from multiple candidates. Even as a younger member of the team, there are cases where I need to make the final recommendation based on my understanding of the project needs and the strengths of each supplier. Moments like that make me feel trusted and also push me to keep improving my judgment.
Can you share a teamwork experience that left a strong impression on you?
There was a bidding project where the customer requested three different automation solutions within just two weeks. It was a very tight schedule. We had to organize all the project information, do the data analysis, identify suitable suppliers, and keep everyone updated without duplicating work.
To handle this, we formed a project team, clearly divided responsibilities, and held regular check‑ins to share progress and avoid gaps or overlaps. Thanks to that teamwork, we were able to deliver all three solutions on time. It was a challenging project, but also a very rewarding one.

What It’s Like to Work at NX
If you had to describe NX’s culture in one phrase, what would you choose, and why?
I would describe it as warmth and inclusiveness.
On the human side, NX is not a cold or distant workplace. Colleagues respect each other and the company genuinely cares about people. On the work side, the culture encourages innovation and allows for reasonable trial and error. When we try new ideas in automation projects, the company understands that not every attempt will be perfect, and that support gives us the courage to step out of our comfort zones and keep improving.
What makes NX a comfortable place to work compared to other companies?
One point is the standardization and refinement of processes. Clear SOPs reduce uncertainty and risk caused by individual habits, which makes it easier for people to focus on the quality of their work instead of worrying about “the right way” to do basic procedures.
Another point is the strong focus on work‑life balance. In addition to legal benefits, NX offers extra medical coverage, health checks, and paid leave. Together with the internal training system, these measures show that the company cares about both the growth and the well‑being of employees.
What kind of training or development opportunities have been especially helpful for you?
Two programs have been particularly important for me. The first was a project management training program that I joined when I was supporting project work early on. The knowledge from that training has been very helpful in structuring and driving my current projects.
More recently, I joined a DX training program, where we learned practical frameworks like OODA and DX CANVAS, and how to apply them in real work scenarios. It wasn’t just theory – it helped me think more systematically about how to design and promote automation and digital projects.
How would you describe the communication and challenge‑supporting environment inside NX?
For creative work like automation, communication is crucial. At NX, I really feel that there is an open environment for dialogue. By communicating closely with frontline teams, I can understand the actual warehouse conditions more accurately and design solutions that truly match their needs.
At the same time, many automation projects themselves are full of innovation and challenges. Because the company is willing to accept reasonable trial and error, we can step out of our comfort zones and explore new approaches with more confidence. That environment is very valuable to me.

Future Goal / Career Path
Looking ahead, what kind of professional do you want to become?
In the medium term, I want to further deepen my expertise in the automation field, master core technologies, and build a solid theoretical base for solution design. My goal is to grow into a warehouse automation solution expert who can lead the design and implementation of complex projects from end to end.
In the longer term, I’d like to accumulate enough project experience that I can start sharing what I’ve learned with internal teams, helping more colleagues grow their capabilities in automation and DX.
What do you hope to accomplish at NX through your work in automation and DX?
I hope to contribute to NX’s DX projects by bringing cutting‑edge automation technologies and equipment into real business scenarios – not just as “cool technology,” but as solutions that truly solve practical problems.
If we can effectively reduce costs and improve efficiency at warehouse sites through better automation, we will strengthen NX’s competitiveness in the market and create more value for our customers.
Message to New Colleagues
From your perspective, what traits do successful people at NX tend to share?
From the people I’ve worked with, I would say there are a few common traits. First, they have a strong team spirit and tend to put the goals of the team or organization above their own individual interests. Second, they consistently pursue excellence in their work, aiming for high quality and taking responsibility for outcomes rather than settling for “good enough.” Third, they are able to identify the core of a problem, looking beyond surface‑level issues to understand what really needs to be addressed. And finally, they have a long‑term perspective, thinking beyond short‑term gains and considering the medium‑ to long‑term impact of their decisions.
Personally, I pay special attention to pursuing excellence and focusing on the essence of problems. In the East Asia region headquarters, where many strategic decisions are made, these two abilities are especially important, and I try to consciously sharpen them in my daily work.
Do you have a message for future colleagues who may join NX in East Asia?
My message would be:
“Let’s take it one step at a time, grow together, and build excellence side by side.”
If you have a spirit of innovation, enjoy learning continuously, and want to turn ideas into real improvements in the field, I believe NX can be a very rewarding place to build your career.
