Nippon Express (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("NE Shanghai"; Jujiro Kita, President) has established a new office in Taicang, Jiangsu Province that opened for business on February 1, 2015.
Chronic congestion at the Port of Shanghai due to recent increases in logistics volume and Shanghai's vehicle traffic restrictions has drawn attention to the Port of Taicang, also in East China and only about 90km from Shanghai Port, as a new gateway for international cargo.
Anticipating further increases in the volume of cargo handled at Taicang Port, NE Shanghai has opened a new office in Taicang.
The new office is adjacent to Taicang Port and near Taicang Customs and other government offices, and will provide import/export forwarding of solar panel- and automobile parts-related shipments as well as connection services for coastal and ocean shipping using Taicang Port as a node, Yangtze River basin logistics utilizing coastal shipping vessels (service from the Jiangsu area to midwestern China), and logistics services from Taicang Port to coastal destinations in northern and southern China.
