Nippon Express establishes new company in Republic of Indonesia

Nippon Express (South Asia & Oceania) Pte, Ltd. (Yasunori Takahashi, President), a subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Kenji Watanabe, President), recently established its own subsidiary in the Republic of Indonesia - PT NEX Logistics Indonesia (hereinafter, "the new company") - that will open for business on April 16, 2015.

Indonesia's steady economic growth over recent years has attracted even more manufacturers of automobiles/components and daily necessities, and prompted companies already doing business there to step up their production capabilities. The resulting rise in the volume of consumer good distribution has led to greater demand for domestic logistics and warehouse services.

The new company will meet warehouse distribution needs and will offer proposals designed to improve logistics efficiency as part of its third-party logistics (3PL) operations.

A company-owned warehouse (floor space: approximately 14,800m2) completed in August 2015 in the Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC) located in Bekasi Regency, West Java Province, will provide a variety of logistics services.

Since establishing PT Nittsu Lemo Indonesia Logistik in October 1997 and PT Nippon Express Indonesia in April 2001, Nippon Express has been offering customers in Indonesia such logistics services as international forwarding, domestic distribution, warehousing, and heavy haulage.

The establishment of this new company will bolster the various logistics services offered in the Republic of Indonesia and will enable Nippon Express to meet the full range of customers' logistics needs, from procurement to sales and maintenance.
