Nippon Express (China) opens new locations in Zhengzhou (Henan Province) and Kunming (Yunnan Province)

Nippon Express (China) Co., Ltd. ("NE China"; Sumitoshi Matsuo, President), a subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Kenji Watanabe, President), has established new locations in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and Kunming, Yunnan Province, that opened for business on April 1.

The capital of Henan Province, Zhengzhou has become more industrialized in recent years as a growing number of automobile and electronic equipment manufacturers have set up operations there. NE China has opened a new location in the city to meet customer needs in Henan Province and other parts of central China.

NE China will team up with the Zhengzhou Branch of Nippon Express (South China) Co., Ltd., already engaged primarily in automotive-related logistics, to provide air and ocean import/export forwarding, domestic distribution, warehousing, domestic and overseas removals services.

Yunnan Province borders Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar, and economic interactions with South Asia are expected to gain even more momentum with the opening of the North-South Economic Corridor.

NE China also chose to open a location in Kunming, a node on the North-South Corridor that serves as a strategic logistics hub for southwest China. The Kunming location will initially be engaged in gathering local information and developing new logistics routes, but in future it will leverage Nippon Express' global network and bonded logistics know-how to provide logistics services connecting business locations throughout China with the countries of South Asia.

The Nippon Express Group will continue to extend its logistics services across China and the countries of South Asia to better meet the needs of its customers.
