NE Vietnam opens multifunction Amata Logistics Center in Amata Industrial Park

Nippon Express (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. ("NE Vietnam"; Atsushi Nagashima, President), a local subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd., on February 6 opened a multifunction warehouse - the Amata Logistics Center - in Amata Logistics Park on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Satoshi Nakajima, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, was among the 150 or so guests who joined Nippon Express executives and employees at the opening ceremony.

(Amata Logistics Center)

The Amata Logistics Center is situated within the Amata Vietnam Industrial Park in Dong Nai Province, about 30km northeast of central Ho Chi Minh along National Route No. 1 running between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. With good access to Vietnam's largest port (Cai Mep-Thi Vai International Port) and largest airport (Tan Son Nhat International Airport), the Center is conveniently located to serve as a multimodal transport hub for ground, ocean and air cargo.

Numerous Japanese manufacturers have already moved into this industrial park, and the Amata Logistics Center was set up to meet a diversity of logistics needs, including non-resident inventory, distribution processing, cross-border transport to/from ASEAN countries and China, buyers consolidation, delivery to stores in Vietnam, and refrigerated/frozen storage. A six-stack rack system enabling storage of 16,600 pallets has been introduced for handling a broad range of cargo from general goods to food products, and the Center offers temperature control functions for refrigerated, frozen, and fixed-temperature storage.

The Center is protected by robust security measures that include an access control system using ID cards and fingerprint identification, surveillance cameras and infrared intrusion sensors throughout the facility, and security guards on duty 24/365, as well as sprinklers and an emergency power generator.

The Amata Logistics Center brings the number of Nippon Express Group warehouses in Vietnam to nine, and increases the Group's warehouse space there to 47,414m2.

Nippon Express is committed to further bolstering its logistics functions in Vietnam and elsewhere in South Asia so that it can continue providing high-quality logistics services.
