Nippon Express (H.K.) participates in Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair

Nippon Express (H.K.) Co., Ltd. (Yohei Kase, Director; hereinafter, "NEHK"), a local subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Mitsuru Saito, President) manned a booth at the three-day Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair held in Hong Kong from Tuesday, May 14 to Thursday, May 16.

The Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair is an international exhibition hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) that was held this year for the 10th time. The fair regularly focuses on six topics - the health and wellness world, medical supplies and consumables, rehabilitation and elderly care products, hospital facilities, construction technology and hospital equipment, and startups - and this year's fair featured a seventh topic with the addition of biotech.

NEHK introduced visitors at this year's fair to import/export services for medical devices, storage, delivery, and distribution processing within Hong Kong, and other logistics services as well as to specialized equipment used to dampen vibrations and shocks during transport.

Hong Kong has been phasing in its Medical Device Administrative Control System (MDACS) since 2004 as a regulatory framework for the handling of medical devices, and this system is expected to be applied ever more strictly to storage and delivery operations in future.

NEHK has obtained ISO13485 certification (covering comprehensive quality management systems for medical devices) for its warehouse in Kwai Chung, and it has upgraded its management system to ensure logistics service quality and safety for medical devices.

NEHK remains committed to providing services that meet the diverse needs of its customers and to offering robust support for logistics operations in Hong Kong.
