Message from the President

Thank you for your continued support and trust.
My name is Mikiteru Yokoyama, and I serve as President of NIPPON EXPRESS (DEUTSCHLAND) GmbH & Co. KG.
In 2025, while the European economy showed signs of gradual recovery, the business environment remained uncertain due to factors such as the prolonged situation in Ukraine, heightened tensions in the Middle East, fluctuations in energy prices, and continued inflationary pressures. In Germany in particular, the slowdown in the manufacturing sector and more cautious investment sentiment affected logistics demand throughout the year.
Under these circumstances, we have continued to strengthen our business foundation in Europe and enhance our service capabilities in line with the NX Group Management Plan 2028, Dynamic Growth 2.0 “Accelerating Sustainable Growth.”
In international logistics, we expanded sales of air and ocean freight forwarding services while optimizing transportation networks within Europe. Through these initiatives, we strengthened our ability to provide end-to-end solutions that support our customers’ entire supply chains. In particular, we focused on delivering high value-added logistics services in industries where we have strong expertise, including automotive, industrial machinery, and healthcare.
Across Europe, the importance of supply chain resilience and risk diversification has continued to grow. A resilient supply chain is becoming an increasingly important source of competitive advantage. Leveraging both our global network and strong local operations, we have supported the development of stable and flexible logistics frameworks that help address our customers’ evolving business challenges.
We are also advancing sustainability initiatives based on the NX Group’s materiality priorities. These efforts include visualizing CO₂ emissions, proposing environmentally responsible transportation solutions, strengthening compliance frameworks, and further developing our human resources. As environmental regulations continue to become more stringent across Europe, including Germany, we remain committed to steadily implementing concrete measures to realize sustainable logistics.
Furthermore, with a strong focus on capital efficiency and profitability, we are promoting the standardization and digitalization of operational processes. Through these efforts, we are building a framework that enhances productivity while simultaneously improving service quality.
As a company playing a central role in the NX Group’s European business, we will continue to pursue transformation and innovation toward the realization of our long-term vision of becoming “a logistics company with a strong presence in the global market.” Together with our customers and partners, we will continue striving for sustainable growth.
