Preliminary inspections

We will ascertain the overall volume of the household belongings at your home, and check the volume of baggage for each transport method. In the case of persons employed at companies and so on, if there are relevant company’s rules, we will check to make sure that the volume of baggage stays within the limits of the rules.

Goods banned from import

There are items that cannot be sent as household-moving baggage. If prohibited items are discovered by customs at destination, there is a possibility of confiscation, disposal, fines, needing additional time for customs inspections, and so on. Please read the document on prohibited items, and make sure that your baggage does not include prohibited items as you prepare it.

Delivery of packing materials

Although packing is included in the household-moving services on the day of pickup, we can deliver a portion of the packing materials in advance if requested to do so. If methods of packing are unclear regarding fragile items and so on, you can ask our staff members about this, or let our staff members take care of the packing of such items on the day of pickup.

Nippon Express staff members will visit you to carry out the pickup and packing operations.
※Our company will contact your condominium in advance to take care of the reservation for carrying out items and the deposit procedures.

  • Before our workers enter your home on the day of operations, please make sure to check that you have your passports, valuables, and items that must be returned to the owner (remote controls, keys, documents, etc.) on hand.

    Please note that if such items are mixed in with the baggage to be packed, valuable time before your departure will end up being lost because it may be necessary to reopen all of the boxes, or go to a Nippon Express warehouse to retrieve items, etc.

Import customs clearance and meeting regarding delivery

In accordance with the timing of the arrival of your baggage at destination, Nippon Express at destination or our partner company will contact you regarding the arrival, and hold a meeting with you regarding the day of delivery.
