Import prohibited items
Some items cannot be shipped as part of moving shipments.
If prohibited items are discovered at Japanese customs, they may be confiscated, destroyed, fined, or subject to delays in customs inspection. Please be sure to read the attached list of prohibited items below.
Information regarding prohibited items
Please check your belongings yourself to ensure that no prohibited items are included, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask our staff during your initial inspection.
Packaging material delivery
We can deliver some packing materials to your home before the moving process begins.
Packing is included in our moving service, but if you have any items you would like to pack yourself, please let our staff know and we will advise you on box sizes, packing methods, and other details.
Sorting
To ensure a smooth moving process, it's crucial that you sort your belongings in advance. We ask that you carefully sort your items before the packing day. Sorting stickers will be provided during the initial inspection.
Pickup work
A Japanese coordinator and NX staff will handle the pickup and packing.
- * Please be sure to check with your residence whether a "Move-Out Permit" is required before moving. *Some residences may require other documents, and it may take several days for the permit to be issued. Please handle the move-out permit and deposit procedures for condominiums yourself in advance.
- On the day of the work, please make sure that you have your passport, valuables, and items to be returned to you by the owner (remote control, keys, documents, etc.) with you before the workers enter the premises.
Please be careful, as if it gets mixed in with your other belongings, it will result in a loss of valuable time before your departure, as you will have to unpack all the boxes again or come to our warehouse to pick it up.
[Important] When returning to Japan, we request that you declare any unaccompanied baggage.
Upon your return to Japan, please be sure to complete the following two procedures.
- Receive an entry stamp in your passport.
- Declare unaccompanied baggage at the arrival airport.
Arrangements for import customs clearance and delivery.
Once your package arrives in Japan, an NX representative in Japan will contact you.
We will inform you of the status of your package and the possible delivery date at that time.
Please feel free to contact us regarding your move to Japan.
