Seapack (sea freight)

This is an international sea freight courier service that allows you to send packages ranging from one to a maximum of four items.
You can use this service to send personal belongings that you cannot carry in your hand luggage when you return home as unaccompanied baggage.

This is the transportation service we offer.

This service is for residents of Spain (those with a residence card). It is a door-to-door international courier service by sea freight, from pickup within Spain to delivery throughout Japan (excluding remote islands). Delivery takes approximately 90 days.

Please use this service for transporting items like these.

When returning to Japan, you can send personal belongings to Japan as unaccompanied baggage, separate from the items you carry on board. You will need to declare these unaccompanied items upon your return to Japan.

C-Pack Contract Conditions

Only items that you declare as unaccompanied baggage at Japanese customs upon your return to Japan and that are eligible for handling as unaccompanied baggage will be accepted.
Please note that this service cannot be used for packages other than those shipped separately, such as product samples or gifts.

  • Please pay the full amount in Spain before your package is shipped.
  • Each request is limited to a maximum of four items, and only one request per household per trip back to Japan is permitted.

    The dimensions of one box must be such that the sum of its three sides (A + B + C) is no more than 150 cm.
  • Limit on the amount of trust
    The total value of your luggage plus shipping costs must be within 51,000 euros.​

Seapack Price List

What is included in the price?

Shipping costs from pickup within Barcelona to delivery throughout Japan (excluding remote islands).
Additional charges will apply for pickups from other regions.

Regarding insurance handling

Insurance cost: 0.75% of the total amount on the packing list (minimum premium: 8 EUR)
*The maximum compensation limit for this insurance is 12,000 EUR.
In the event of an accident, we will compensate you for the actual damage up to the price listed on the packing list. Please note that we cannot provide replacement items.

Additional charges may apply depending on the conditions of your request and the contents of your shipment.

  • Pre-delivery fee for packing materials: 15.00 EUR + cost of the box → Information on providing packing materials
  • Additional service charge of 20.00 EUR if goods need to be carried down the stairs due to the lack of an elevator.
  • Collection fee for items collected from areas outside of Barcelona
  • Customs duties, consumption tax, and other public taxes and charges (actual costs) if levied in Japan.

Items we cannot accept

As this involves international shipping, each country has its own import bans and restrictions. Please be aware that some of the items you plan to ship may be subject to these restrictions. If any prohibited or restricted items are found, unnecessary costs will be incurred for inspection, disposal, etc., so please be careful.

Import-prohibited and restricted items

  • Narcotics, stimulants, opium, poppy seeds, cannabis seeds, and their inhalation devices.
  • Currency and securities (including counterfeit, altered, or imitation items)
  • Pornographic videotapes, films, CDs, DVDs, magazine photos, etc.
  • Products that infringe on intellectual property rights such as patents and copyrights, and counterfeit brand products.
  • Handguns, rifles, imitation handguns, swords and bladed weapons
  • Flammable and explosive substances such as sprays, matches, lighters, benzene, and paint thinner.
  • Things regulated by the CITES Convention
    (Examples) Furs of tigers, leopards, bears, etc., ivory, taxidermy, snakeskin products, some herbal medicines, coral, caviar, living animals and plants (monkeys, parrots, orchids, cacti, etc.)
  • Items requiring animal and plant quarantine
    Meat products such as ham, rice (rice flour), dried flowers, potpourri, flower seeds, etc.
  • Those regulated under the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act (formerly the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act)

Items that are not prohibited or restricted from import but cannot be handled by our shipping service.

  • gemstones, precious metals
  • Alcoholic beverages such as wine, tobacco products
  • Original works of art (paintings, sculptures, prints)
  • Perishable goods such as fresh produce, and items that require quality inspection during export customs clearance in Spain.
  • New items costing over 200,000 yen per item

Shipping responsibility

The carrier's liability is limited to 19 SDR per kg (or 17 SDR if the Warsaw Convention, the amended Warsaw Convention, or the Montreal Protocol IV applies) for actual damages (liable damages) to the entrusted cargo.

Package Delivery Process

  2. Preparing shipping documents for your package

  3. Application

    We will collect your luggage up to three days before your departure date.
    Please note that we may decline applications submitted immediately before or after your return to Japan.
  4. Package collection
    We will visit you on weekdays (Monday to Friday) without specifying a time.
    The estimated time for pickup is between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
  5. Payment of shipping costs
    After the cargo has been collected, please transfer the amount we will inform you of to our bank account.

Payment of shipping costs

Please transfer the amount we inform you of after weighing your cargo to our bank account. We do not accept credit cards.
Please note that your package will be shipped only after we have confirmed your payment.
