Protect BOX with Fresh Logi

Protect BOX with Fresh Logi enables temperature-controlled transportation simply by placing a dedicated insulated BOX inside the Protect BOX. Its simple design eliminates the need for cold-storage packs or dry ice, making it ideal for transporting fresh vegetables, fruit, flowers, and other temperature-sensitive products.

Solution Overview

Using special materials, the system harnesses the cold released by pre-cooled cargo to maintain a low temperature inside the insulated BOX. It enables temperature-controlled transportation by sea, rail, truck, and air. Because no cold-storage packs or dry ice are required, preparation is simple and no waste is generated after use. The system also helps reduce CO₂ emissions compared with refrigerated-truck transportation. *The diagram and chart are available in Japanese only.

Features of Protect BOX with Fresh Logi

  • No need for refrigerants or dry ice, saving labor during operation.

Because the insulating panels maintain the cold air from the pre-cooled cargo, there is no need for refrigerants or dry ice. Preparation is very simple and economical, and no waste is generated after the operation.

  • Refrigerated transport is possible even in modes without refrigeration.

This system enables temperature-controlled transport even on ships, trains, and trucks without refrigeration capabilities. It also contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions compared to refrigerated trucks. Temperature control is possible even for small-lot shipments, and vehicle costs can be reduced by mixing refrigerated and ambient temperature goods.

  • Maintaining a stable temperature suppresses quality deterioration.

By suppressing quality deterioration due to temperature changes during transportation, we can deliver delicate cargo such as fresh produce and flowers while maintaining their freshness.

  • The basic performance of the Protect BOX is also inherited.

The honeycomb core material covering the entire surface provides robust protection against cargo damage caused by external factors. It also maintains the same level of protection against soiling and damage as the standard Protect BOX.

Temperature retention performance

Pre-cooled cargo: Time required to maintain a temperature of 5°C to 10°C or below (manufacturer's experimental value, insulation thickness 50mm).

Retention time data

When the outside temperature is 30℃51 h (about 2 days or more)
When the outside temperature is 40℃35 h (about 1.5 days)

* The above are experimental results from the manufacturer (Asahi Kasei). The holding time will vary depending on actual transportation conditions, cargo volume, and pre-cooling temperature.
