Uninterrupted BCP System Even During Emergencies
To keep pharmaceuticals moving during emergencies, the Pharmaceuticals Division has developed a detailed business continuity plan in addition to the NX Group’s companywide plan. Our three facilities in Japan are equipped with seismic isolation and two separate air-conditioning systems to prepare for the disaster risks specific to Japan. Alternative transport routes, backup warehouses, and emergency power systems designed to operate for 72 hours help maintain the pharmaceutical supply chain during widespread disasters and infectious disease outbreaks.
Customized Transport That Accommodates to Diverse Needs
We provide flexible designs for transport environments that can be used for different temperature ranges, such as for room temperature (15 to 25°C), chilled (2 to 8°C), and frozen (-20°C and below). We optimize the entire process from verification of the transport conditions and design of the packaging through to customs clearance procedures and the last mile of delivery based on product characteristics and the GDP requirements for each country. We provide the best transport solutions tailored to the customer’s requirements for goods ranging from investigational drugs to commercial products.
High Level of Safety Using Dedicated Vehicles
We have established a nationwide scheduled delivery network using vehicles dedicated to pharmaceutical logistics and designed in accordance with PIC/S GDP guidelines. These vehicles are equipped with refrigeration and heating systems that support two temperature ranges (2–8°C and 15–25°C), GPS tracking, and real-time temperature monitoring systems, enabling us to provide safe and reliable delivery services.
NX Pharma-TC (Transit-type center delivery service)
Even pharmaceutical companies and distributors without their own logistics centers can utilize NX's transit centers (TCs) to leverage a GDP-compliant pharmaceutical delivery network. This optimizes delivery lead times and costs, contributing to overall logistics efficiency across the industry.
Modal shift in pharmaceutical transportation
By utilizing RORO vessels operated by the NX Group, we are shifting long-distance pharmaceutical transportation from trucks to sea. This will provide sustainable pharmaceutical transportation that simultaneously addresses the driver shortage (the logistics problem of 2024) and reduces CO2 emissions.
