Characteristics of art transportation
-
70 Years of Fine Art Transportation Experience
As a leading company in art transportation in Japan, we have been involved in the transportation of a wide variety of art objects. We would like to introduce our extensive track record and the network and facilities that have supported it.
-
Packaging Expertise
Irreplaceable works of art vary greatly in shape and weight. We constantly consider and propose the most desirable packing method, taking into account not only the artwork itself but also the transportation distance. A major factor supporting "Transportation only possible with NX" is the technical skill of our staff who tackle packing using a variety of materials.
-
Preserving and Passing On Expertise
To ensure safe and reliable transportation, we focus on maintaining high-level packaging techniques and training our technical staff, who themselves strive to improve their skills every day. In recent years, this "transmission of technology" has expanded beyond within the company to include external parties and the world.
-
A diverse range of transportation channels made possible by "Nippon Express"
Nippon Express, Japan's largest integrated logistics company, utilizes various land, sea, and air channels for the transportation of artwork. Its major strengths lie in its extensive know-how in moving, relocation, and handling heavy goods, as well as its ability to flexibly utilize all modes of transport and facilities, including trucks, rail, aircraft, and warehousing.
-
A nationwide network and facilities for transporting artworks.
As a specialized department for art transportation, we handle art transportation through 45 branches nationwide, centered around our three branches in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nagoya. Most branches own art-specific vehicles equipped with air conditioning and air suspension. Our bonded warehouse in Tokyo is equipped with temperature and humidity control and security systems, and can handle import and export customs clearance.
SmartMuse
(Digital archive of collections)
We centralize the vast amount of work involved in museum and art gallery collection management, from organizing collections and storing them in dedicated warehouses to digitizing them through photography and scanning, and managing archives on the cloud. We also support the digitization of paper collection records.
