Jetpack (Export) - Unaccompanied Baggage

We will send clothing, shoes, daily necessities, and other items to your new address or study abroad destination.

Sending items as unaccompanied baggage can exempt you from customs duties and excise taxes (value-added tax) in the importing country. However, there are cases where exemption is not granted (e.g., new items).

As a general guideline for luggage size:

1. It must have been used in Japan for more than one year.
2. The person must have left the country within the last six months.
3. Not intended for sale as a product.
4. All necessary documents for customs clearance in Japan and the importing country must be in order.
5. Please note that standards may vary depending on the destination country.

The following documents are required.

1. Please prepare copies of the first two pages of your passport (the pages showing your name and photo) and a copy of your visa.
2. If you are not yet departing the country, you will need a copy of your airline ticket (which should show the departure date and flight number).
3. If you have already departed the country, you will need a boarding certificate from the airline (which should include the departure date and flight number).
4. You will need an invoice detailing the contents of your shipment (including the shipping address, item name, quantity, price, etc.). (Five signed copies of the invoice are required.)
5. Other documents may be required by the customs of the importing country, but these vary depending on the product name and the importing country.
   (It is also possible to arrange for this in the importing country, but the import declaration procedures will take time.)
