NX-GREEN SAF Program

This program utilizes Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to support customers in reducing their Scope 3 emissions and minimizing their environmental impact. It can be used on any air transport arranged by the NX Group, regardless of the airline or route.

Solution Overview

This partnership program aims for a sustainable future by reducing GHG emissions in air cargo transport and promoting SAF (Sustainable Energy Fund) in collaboration with airlines, freight forwarders, and customers. CO₂ emissions generated by air transport can be reduced by purchasing the environmental value of SAF. This is the first Japanese freight forwarder to offer a system that can be used regardless of the airline or route.   *The diagram below is available in Japanese only.

Solution Overview

Implementation effects

  • Reduce Scope 3 emissions in your air transport

CO₂ emissions from your logistics operations fall under Scope 3 emissions Category 4 and 9 (transportation and delivery). By utilizing SAF (Sustainable Air Focus), which has a lower environmental impact, in air cargo transportation, you can achieve this in your logistics operations.
  • No restrictions on the airline or routes you can use.

Because it is available on all air transport services arranged by the NX Group, customers can work to reduce Scope 3 emissions in the air transport sector on a global level, not just for flights to and from Japan.
  • We provide third-party certified reduction certificates.

Customers participating in this program will receive a CO₂ reduction certificate certified by a third-party certification body, which can be used for disclosure information such as TCFD and CDP.

Glossary

SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel)This aviation fuel is produced using plant-derived biomass and waste cooking oil as raw materials, and is said to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 80% compared to conventional aviation fuels.
Carbon offsetThis initiative aims to reduce GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions within a company's own supply chain.
