Domestic transportation of imported goods (NX Direct Feeder)

Domestic transportation of imported goods (NX Direct Feeder)

NX Direct Feeder is a service that transports imported cargo unloaded at Tokyo and Yokohama ports to regional ports via domestic vessels. Without being restricted by port-based restrictions, the NX Group takes full responsibility for transportation, handling everything from start to finish. This modal shift contributes to addressing issues such as CO₂ reduction and driver shortages.

Features of the NX Direct Feeder

  • Modal shift significantly reduces long-distance land transport and CO₂ emissions.

By utilizing regional ports to shorten land transport distances, we can simultaneously address the driver shortage and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions. This achieves both carbon neutrality and sustainable logistics.
  • Container return at regional ports is OK, flexible operation.

As the industry's only package service, we transport containers to regional ports without changing trade terms or bidding conditions, and without being tied to the port of discharge on the Bill of Lading (B/L). We also handle the return of containers at regional ports. This eliminates the need for return transport to the port of discharge, enabling flexible operations.
  • Comprehensive risk management and insurance coverage

Through our partnership with Sompo Japan Insurance Inc., we offer an insurance system that comprehensively covers transportation risks on domestic feeder vessels. You can use our services with peace of mind.
  • We also handle import cargo arriving at Narita Airport.

Traditionally, long-distance transport of imported cargo arriving at Narita Airport to Hokkaido and Kyushu relied on air transport. This service shifts to sea transport, reducing transportation costs while ensuring stable delivery times.

Service Flow

We provide comprehensive support from import customs clearance overseas to domestic ports, feeder transport, regional ports, and final delivery. By consolidating the point of contact for international and domestic transportation, we reduce the burden of procedures and management.
