Nippon Express is committed to preserving and passing on specialist expertise in fine-art transportation. Through in-house training, professional certification, and international collaboration, we support the transfer of advanced skills within and beyond the company, from a global perspective.
Preserving and Passing On Expertise
In-house training program
We regularly hold training courses at various skill levels. Participants learn how to handle and pack a wide range of art objects, from ceramics and Buddhist statues to paintings, textiles, swords, and armor. Participants come from branches all over the country, contributing not only to skill acquisition but also to the development of a nationwide network.
External communication of technology
I participate as an instructor in workshops held at universities and art museums. By widely disseminating the techniques of "packaging works of art" to people outside the company, I contribute to improving the quality of the entire industry.
Acquisition of certification
We actively participate in the "Certified Examination for Skills in Packing and Transporting Artwork" (certified by the Japan Museum Association), and have consistently produced successful candidates since the first examination in 2012.

International cooperation projects
Since 2008, we have been participating in the "Grand Egyptian Museum Conservation and Restoration Center Project" by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as a technical support provider. Through training in the transportation and packaging of cultural artifacts and the handling of heavy objects, we are ensuring that our skills are properly passed on to the Egyptian staff. Through on-site training, we are contributing to the protection of humanity's shared cultural heritage.
