Challenge (Before)
Semiconductor manufacturing requires procuring a large variety and volume of materials—including raw materials, wafers, and chemical agents—from multiple suppliers. Many of these materials require careful handling due to specific storage conditions, such as limited shelf life or strict temperature control.
At the same time, securing sufficient inventory while storing materials inside the factory places pressure on valuable space that should ideally be used for core production activities. Therefore, the customer required a logistics framework capable of efficiently managing the entire process—from material storage to supply—in alignment with production plans.

- Established a temperature-controlled inbound logistics warehouse near the customer’s production facility to properly store and manage a wide variety and large volume of materials according to their respective storage conditions.
- Implemented Just-in-Time (JIT) deliveries based on production schedules with a 24-hour regular delivery system, supplying materials to designated locations within the factory at specified times and quantities.
- Consolidated materials previously stored within the factory into the warehouse, enabling more effective use of factory space.
- NX provides end-to-end management of the logistics process—from receiving materials from multiple suppliers to storage, outbound operations, and delivery to the factory.

In addition, the 24-hour JIT delivery system aligned with production schedules ensures that required materials are delivered reliably at the precise time they are needed. This has also reduced the amount of material storage space required within the factory, allowing limited space to be effectively utilized for expanding production lines and installing additional equipment.
