Product Introduction

1. What is a Wine Box?

• For customers returning to Japan from France (due to moving, temporary return, etc.) who wish to send wine as unaccompanied mail.
• For customers in France who wish to give wine as a gift to friends, family, etc. in Japan.

This is a wine delivery service that delivers wine from France to destinations throughout Japan (*1) in a special box (*2).

2. Conditions and scope of services we can provide

Import customs procedures, restrictions, and taxes vary depending on whether the items are shipped separately or as gifts.

[Separately shipped items]

• Up to 5 wine boxes (60 bottles) in total (*3)
• The total cost of the wine should be less than €2800.
• Upon your return to Japan, you will need to submit a declaration form for unaccompanied baggage to customs at the arrival airport. Please refer to section 3 for details.

【gift】

• One wine box per recipient.
• The total cost of the wine is less than €2000.
• This service is limited to wine intended for personal use by the recipient (importer). We cannot accept deliveries for commercial use, stores, or businesses.

<Remarks>

▶ We do not recommend shipping during the hot summer months (around July to September).
For those who require shipping during the summer months, we will pack your items in refrigerated packaging and ship them via refrigerated delivery upon arrival in Japan. However, please note that we do not maintain consistent temperature control from the time of pickup within France until the shipment arrives.

3. Shipping charges

The following package prices include the cost of a dedicated box, pickup fees in France and delivery fees in Japan, import/export customs clearance, air freight, surcharges, airport handling fees in Japan, and insurance (*4). Import taxes in Japan and handling fees (*5) will be added to this amount, and the total price will be paid in France at the time of application.
Please note that there will be an additional charge for transportation during the summer months.

<Remarks>

Reference: Tax amount per 750ml bottle (estimate)

1. (*) Customs duties and liquor taxes are specific taxes, while consumption tax is an ad valorem tax.
2. (*1) If the taxable value exceeds 200,000 yen under the simplified tax rate (taxable value of 200,000 yen or less), the tax amount may be higher than the amount shown above. (General tax rate applies)
   • The tax base differs for unaccompanied goods and gifts, and the tax amount is calculated based on this standard.

     <Gift> (Overseas purchase price + shipping fee to Japan)
   • Sparkling wine and fortified wines (such as sherry and port) are subject to different tax rates.
3. (*2) Consumption tax calculation formula: 10% of (the above tax base + customs duty + liquor tax)
4. * The exchange rate used is based on the Mitsubishi UFJ Bank exchange rate as of October 1, 2024.

4. The process from application to delivery

[For items shipped separately]

1. Application acceptance:
   Please apply via the "Apply Here" link at the bottom of this page.
2. Fill out the application form:
   Once you receive the application form from us, please fill in the delivery address and wine details.
   Please submit the receipt (copy or photo acceptable) for your wine purchase.
3. Payment:
   We will inform you of the final amount including import taxes, and you will be required to pay all costs in a single lump sum.
   No payment is required upon receipt of the goods in Japan.
   • * If you use our moving service, payment will be required at the same time as the moving expenses.
4. Pickup:
   We will repackage the wine into a special box for collection. Please hand over the wine without its original packaging or accessories.
   • * If you are using our moving service, we will pick up your belongings at the same time as your move.
5. Returning to Japan:
   You will be required to complete a declaration form for personal belongings and unaccompanied baggage on board the aircraft.
   • Side A: Separately Shipped Items. In the "Quantity" column, please add the number of Wine Boxes to the total number of other separately shipped items such as moving shipments.
   • Side B: This is for declaring your personal belongings. Please declare the number of alcoholic beverages you will be carrying in your checked baggage or on board.

   • * Please note that if you do not submit a declaration form for personal belongings and unaccompanied baggage at the airport upon arrival in Japan, the customs clearance process may change, potentially resulting in additional days and fees.
7. Delivery

[For gifts]

1. Application acceptance:
   Please apply via the "Apply Here" link at the bottom of this page.
2. Fill out the application form:
   Once you receive the application form from us, please fill in the delivery address and wine details.
   Please submit the receipt (copy or photo acceptable) for your wine purchase.
3. Payment:
   We will inform you of the final amount including import taxes, and you will be required to pay all costs in a single lump sum.
   In principle, the recipient will not be responsible for any payments, including Japanese customs duties.
4. Pickup:
   We will repackage the wine into a special box for collection. Please hand over the wine without its original packaging or accessories.

6. Payment Methods

1. Bank transfer
   Payment must be made to our company account before pickup. Account information will be provided after your application is complete.
   • * To confirm receipt of your payment, please transfer the funds from an account in the name of the person sending the package.
     Please include your application number in the remarks section.
2. Credit card payment
   Payment will be made by credit card upon pickup.
   • * To confirm receipt of your payment, please use a credit card in the name of the person sending the package.
