NX Heartliner is a total international moving service that caters to every individual's needs. We can handle everything from small items to large furniture such as chests of drawers and pianos. We offer room-to-room transportation combining sea and air freight, and NX handles everything from initial consultations in the UK to the actual work in Japan.

A sales representative will visit your home to conduct an inspection and provide you with a quotation.

Required days

Sea freight: The basic guideline is approximately 90-100 days from collection, but please be aware that delays may occasionally occur due to various factors such as weather and congestion at transit ports.

Airmail: Delivery is expected to take 2-3 weeks from pickup.

  1. * The basic schedule is approximately one week for shipment from the UK, and 1-2 weeks for customs clearance and delivery after declaring the unaccompanied baggage at the airport upon your return to Japan.
  2. * Delivery times may vary depending on the delivery area and shipping period.

Import-prohibited and restricted items

Items that are prohibited or restricted from being brought into Japan

  • Narcotics, psychotropic drugs, marijuana, opium, stimulants, MDMA, etc.
  • Handguns and other firearms, ammunition for these guns, and handgun parts, etc.
  • Raw materials for explosives such as dynamite, gunpowder, and chemical weapons.
  • Counterfeit banknotes, coins, securities, credit cards, etc.
  • Counterfeit branded goods, pirated goods, and other items that infringe on intellectual property rights
  • This includes obscene images, child pornography, and other ready-made printed materials, videotapes, DVDs, and other media, as well as computer hard drives.
  • Hunting rifles, air guns, and swords such as Japanese swords (hunting rifles, air guns, and swords with blades longer than 5.5 cm are generally prohibited from being possessed under the Firearms and Swords Control Law).
  • Animals, plants, and their products whose import is restricted under the Washington Convention (e.g., crocodiles, snakes, tortoises, ivory, musk, cacti, etc.)
  • Live animals and plants, meat products (including sausages and jerky), vegetables, fruits, rice, etc., that require prior quarantine inspection.
  • Pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, cosmetics, etc., in quantities regulated by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act (formerly the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act)

Sending prohibited items is subject to criminal penalties. Furthermore, please be aware that any items not permitted for import, such as prohibited items, or items found to violate transport regulations during export inspections, will be returned or incinerated at your expense.

Please note

  • When entering Japan, you will need to submit a declaration form for unaccompanied baggage.
  • Customs clearance procedures will be carried out after the customer enters the country.
  • We cannot provide compensation if data on your hard drive is lost, so please be sure to back up your data beforehand at your own risk.

Changes/Cancellations

  • Change of pickup date
    If you wish to change your moving date due to your own circumstances, please contact us at least one week before the scheduled pickup date.
    (Please note that changes may not be possible.)
  • Cancellation of moving
    Please notify us of any cancellations or changes to your moving date at least two days before your scheduled appointment.
    After that point, a cancellation fee will be charged. Furthermore, if materials have already been received, the actual cost will be charged.
