Challenge (Before)
When selling imported cosmetics through e-commerce, the processes involved—including import customs clearance, value-added processing, and distribution—were fragmented, resulting in an inefficient logistics operation overall.
In particular, delays in unloading containers at the port often led to demurrage charges. In addition, the location of the facility responsible for value-added processing after customs clearance was separate from the port, resulting in longer lead times.
Furthermore, imported cosmetics are required to have local-language labels attached before being sold, making it necessary to establish a system that allows processing operations to begin smoothly immediately after customs clearance.

- Established an integrated operation combining a bonded warehouse and a GMP-certified warehouse, enabling seamless coordination from bonded storage of imported cargo to post-clearance value-added processing and domestic distribution.
- Containers are transported directly from the port to the bonded warehouse. By unloading cargo within the warehouse, port dwell time is minimized and demurrage charges are reduced.
- After import customs clearance, products are promptly transferred to an adjacent GMP-certified warehouse, where inspection, labeling, kitting, and other value-added services are performed.
- After processing, products are managed through inventory control, picking, and packing optimized for e-commerce operations, and are reliably delivered to a wide range of destinations including consumers and convenience stores across Japan.
