This option enables delivery from the Port of Los Angeles to destinations across the United States within five days, at the same time providing advanced cargo visibility and security management.

Securing dependable transport routes has recently become an urgent priority in supply chains to North America due to such factors as navigation restrictions in the Panama Canal caused by climate change. Against a backdrop of challenges that include longer ocean freight lead times attributable to geopolitical risks and delays in US rail transport, there is also a growing need for rapid and punctual transport as well as advanced security measures after arrival in the US. To answer these market needs and to support business continuity planning (BCP), NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS has expanded the capabilities of “NX Ocean Fast Track” launched this past June, adding “US 5-Day Cross” as an optional service designed to enhance delivery quality and reduce lead times after arrival in the US.

Building on the strengths of “NX Ocean Fast Track”, which ensures container delivery from the Port of Los Angeles within 24 hours, this service combines priority transshipment at NX Group warehouses with a team-driver system for long-haul transport to offer fast and reliable shipping to locations across the United States. The use of multifunctional security devices also provides greater visibility into transport status and quality.

Highly accurate real-time tracking is made possible by attaching dedicated multifunctional devices to cargo during transit. The “Light Sensor & Alert” feature installed in these devices uses a light sensor to detect and alert users to unauthorized opening, reducing the risk of theft. Additionally, built-in sensors continuously record and visualize environmental data such as temperature, humidity, and impact during transit. The Group thus comprehensively monitors not only where cargo is located but also whether it is being transported safely.
