Establishing a Global Procurement Framework Integrating Commercial Transactions and Logistics
Integrating supplier contracting and settlement with logistics operations to centralize procurement management and strengthen financial performance.

Customer:Global Electronics Manufacturer
Challenge (Before)
For procurement destined for overseas manufacturing plants, the customer handled supplier payments, import/export procedures, and other related tasks individually across multiple countries, resulting in increasingly complex operations.
Trade and logistics flows were managed separately, causing delays in information sharing and increasing operational workloads.
In addition, to mitigate stockout risks arising from demand fluctuations, regulatory requirements in different countries, and foreign exchange volatility, the customer was forced to maintain higher safety stock levels. As a result, materials inventory placed pressure on the balance sheet and negatively impacted cash flow.
The customer therefore required a framework that could manage both trade and logistics flows in an integrated manner, simultaneously improving procurement efficiency and financial performance.
Solutions
NX Solution
- NX Trading acts as an intermediary between the customer and suppliers, handling order processing, settlements, and import/export procedures on behalf of the customer. By providing a single point of contact, NX reduces the operational burden associated with complex multi-country transactions.
- NX Trading’s headquarters and overseas subsidiaries collaborate to centrally manage both trade and logistics flows, eliminating delays in information sharing and enabling detailed supply chain management. This helps reduce procurement risks and lost sales opportunities.
- The NX Group purchases procurement materials traded between suppliers and buyers and temporarily takes ownership of the materials, holding them as inventory. This reduces inventory held by the customer while improving cash flow through the early monetization of accounts receivable and the deferral of accounts payable.
- Inventory compression reduces borrowing requirements, lowering procurement funding needs and associated financing costs.
- By outsourcing procurement management operations to the NX Group, administrative workloads related to these activities are converted from fixed costs into variable costs.

Benefits
Benefits (Results)
By establishing an integrated framework that centrally manages both trade and logistics flows and consolidating complex multinational procurement management operations with NX Trading, the customer created an environment where resources can be focused on core business activities.
With the NX Group temporarily holding procurement materials as its own assets, the customer’s inventory is maintained at only the necessary minimum safety stock level. This contributes to a leaner and more stable supply chain operation.
