About the erhu (Chinese violin)
Because erhu instruments use snakeskin, which is a protected item under the Washington Convention, their import and export are prohibited. However, if you obtain a CITES certificate from the instrument shop where you purchased the instrument and submit it to customs, import and export are possible.
